About the book

A staggering 50% of babies born today will develop allergies, up to 33% will be asthmatic or suffer from eczema, and 1 in 68 will become autistic. Nutrition & Health Coach Michelle Henning sought to avoid these health issues in her baby, especially as her husband, Dr Victor Henning, had been suffering from chronic inflammatory diseases since childhood. Together, they began reviewing the latest medical evidence - and found that a mother's diet and lifestyle choices before, during, and after pregnancy can dramatically lower their baby's risk of these conditions.

In this book, they provide a systematic overview of:

  • the developing immune system and the crucial role of the microbiome in priming and modulating it,
  • the importance of eating the right fats for curbing inflammation,
  • easy-to-follow dietary and lifestyle choices shown to improve your baby's health,
  • key nutrients and supplements which have proven effective in lowering your baby's risk of asthma, eczema, allergies, and autism.

Michelle's and Victor's daughter, now 17 months old, is a healthy, happy baby, free of asthma, eczema, and the food allergies that have plagued her father.
